Nice forest with small walk and cute pond. Once a year they in autumn/winter time they do a lights show thing that looks cool even during the day, after 4:30 pm you require a ticket and have to get there via bus, it has food and looks like it would be a good event to go to
Stunning Autumn colours at this lovely wood. Clear and well maintained paths. Limited parking which needs to be paid for. Well worth a visit.
One of the best autumn festivals of scotland. The enchanted forest. A must visit for everyone travelling to Scotland and the UK . The forest itself is a wonderful place and very well maintained and protected
The fountain in the photo is a temporary fixture for 'The Enchanted Forest.' However, this is a magical place on a normal day. Perfect pit stop for the kids when the weather is good.
We went here for the enchanted forest experience. We have gone for many years. It is out of this world. I have never seen anything like it. The whole thing is run by a local community trust and all the money goes back into the local community. I can't really explain.the experience so you will just have to experience it for yourself. It's a different theme each year .You won't regret it.
There's some lovely walks either starting from the boating station, or the carpark at faskally. There's a short walk round the small loch in the middle, or longer walks through the forest.
What an absolutely beautiful location! I have only been here for the forest light show, but I plan to go walks here in the future. It's an amazing and beautiful stretch of earths beauty. Would absolutely recommend coming here, especially for the light show over the October times
I visited Faskally forest on a sunny afternoon and enjoyed a relaxing stroll around the scenic Loch Dunmore.
There are many different types of trees, and a variety of wildlife to spot. I saw kingfishers, herons, and ducks on the loch.
The forest has two main trails: the Dunmore Trail and the Foresters’ Trail. I chose the Dunmore Trail, which is an easy-access path that follows the loch shore. The trail is well signposted and has a firm, smooth gravel surface. It is suitable for wheelchairs, pushchairs, and bikes. The trail is about 0.75 miles long and takes about half an hour to complete. Along the way, there are benches and picnic tables where you can stop and enjoy the views.
The forest also has a car park, which charges £1 for up to an hour or £3 for all day. There are public toilets, shops, and cafés in Pitlochry, which is about a mile away from the forest. The forest is easily accessible by car or bus from Pitlochry. There is a sign for ‘Faskally’ on the B8019 if you are heading north on the A91.
I had a lovely time at Faskally forest and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque walk in nature. The forest is also home to the Enchanted Forest, a light and music show that takes place in autumn. I would love to come back and see it someday. Faskally forest is truly a gem of Perthshire and Scotland.
